I have a question about the HOT SEAT exercise. What is the purpose of the asker’s “superpower” to stop and silence the person on the hot seat even mid sentence by saying, thank you? It has always struck me as controlling and insensitive to the generosity of the person on the hot seat. If they are brave and vulnerable enough to get onto the hot seat, and field any question, I feel the game should honor their response more. I don’t understand the purpose of limiting their response by another’s external, thank you. It would make more sense to me if the asker could say, thank you, to indicate that they got or understood the person on the hot seat, rather than to shut them down and shut them up. I’d appreciate your insights.
